Please read these terms before using Fairsum. In short: the calculators are general information and estimates only — not financial, taxation, credit or legal advice.
General information only — not advice
Fairsum provides general information and numerical estimates about tax, super and loans. Nothing on this site is financial product advice, taxation advice, credit assistance or legal advice, and it does not take account of your personal objectives, financial situation or needs. Before acting, consider whether the information is appropriate for you and seek advice from a licensed financial adviser, registered tax agent, credit provider or lawyer as relevant.
The calculators are estimates
The calculators are generic tools that apply published rates and thresholds to the figures and assumptions you enter. Results are estimates only, may not reflect your circumstances, and can differ from amounts determined by the ATO, a lender or your employer. Assumptions are shown and can be changed; always confirm important figures with the relevant authority or provider.
Accuracy and currency
We take care to use current, sourced rates (for example from the ATO and APRA) and we date our content. Even so, rates and rules change and errors can occur. We do not warrant that the information or results are complete, accurate or current, and you rely on them at your own risk.
Your figures stay in your browser
The calculators run in your browser and the values you enter are not sent to us. See our privacy page for how our cookieless, anonymous analytics work.
Links to third parties
The site may link to third-party websites or services. Those links are not an endorsement or recommendation, we don't control those sites, and they have their own terms and privacy policies. Any dealings you have with a third party are between you and them.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fairsum is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or its calculators. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Intellectual property
The site's content and design are owned by or licensed to Fairsum. Rates, thresholds and other factual data are not owned by us. You may use the calculators for your personal, non-commercial use.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site means you accept the current version. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
